Late Islamic scholar Junaid Jamshed’s son Babur Junaid Jamshed talked about their family’s financial troubles after his father’s death.

Babur Junaid Jamshed, in an interview, said he has three siblings. They were studying when their father died.

He added his father was the sole bread-earner of the family. He added that people were unaware of their financial troubles following their patriarch’s demise.
He recalled the family selling the house as they could not afford one.
Moreover, he said people used to come to their house and ask them to clear his father’s Rs500,000 debt.

In 2016, Junaid Jamshed along with 46 others, boarded flight PK-661 from Chitral. The plane was to reach Islamabad but it crashed near Havelian village of Punjab. The crash killed all on board.
